Falcon 9 rocket successfully passes a trial run prior to historic launch of its manned mission

The mission is scheduled to take off this May 27 and will send Americans Robert Behnken and Douglas Hurley to the International Space Station.

SpaceX successfully conducted a static fire test of its Falcon 9 rocket on Friday, which next week will send the Crew Dragon into space with two astronauts on board, the aerospace company reported on Twitter.

In the demonstration, the engines were briefly started to ensure that the launcher is ready for takeoff. The Crew Dragon is scheduled to take off this May 27 and its goal is to send astronauts Robert Behnken and Douglas Hurley to the International Space Station. It is the first launch of a manned mission from the USA. in almost a decade.
