Faller Packaging (Waldkirch) has taken over the real estate of the former All4Labels plant in Gebesee (Thuringia) in order to build a new production site for folding boxes and package inserts. This decision is based on a growth strategy that takes into account the positive developments in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sector in Europe.

“Taking over the site in Gebesee enables us to implement our growth strategy quickly,” explains Dagmar Schmidt, CEO of the Faller Packaging Group. “As we cannot achieve the required capacities at our existing sites in the required time, this site offers us the opportunity to act quickly and respond to the increasing demand.”

All4Labels announced the closure of the site in December 2023 due to the economic environment for the adhesive labels produced there. After the product portfolio was shifted to other plants within the All4Labels Global Packaging Group, the plant in Gebesee was closed and dismantled in the third quarter of 2024. “We are pleased that Faller Packaging has taken over the property and has thus found a suitable location for the further expansion of its growth segment, which will also further strengthen the local region and possibly create new jobs,” explains Dr. Günther Weymans, CEO of the All4Labels Global Packaging Group.

Faller Packaging makes optimal use of the building structure and existing infrastructure of the plant. These conditions make it possible to realize the production of folding boxes and package inserts and to successfully implement both capacity expansions at this location. With its central location in Thuringia and proximity to important pharmaceutical locations in Germany, the site offers strategic advantages: “The plant’s infrastructure is well prepared, so that we can start production promptly,” adds Dagmar Schmidt.

The contract for the purchase of the properties in Gebesee was signed on September 16, 2024. Production is scheduled to begin in spring 2025.
