The 28-year-old from Zurich hosted Switzerland’s most important news program. There was a surprise goodbye.
On Friday evening, Katja Stauber moderated the day’s show on SRF for the last time. For three decades she led through Switzerland’s most important news program. Farewell, her husband and colleague Florian Inhauser suddenly stood in the studio. She has moderated 2,700 programs since 1992, from Bill Clinton’s election as US President to the corona crisis.
In the future, Stauber will work behind the camera as a producer, thus helping to determine which focal points will be set in the “Tagesschau”.
The 57-year-old from Zurich had the last word: «I thank you for watching, your loyalty, for praise and hip criticism. It was my pleasure, good luck, stay healthy. See you soon.”
