Farmers’ Protest: Walloon Agricultural Sector Expresses Discontent with Actions Across the Region

Farmers will once once more express their discontent on Saturday between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. through actions carried out across the four corners of Wallonia, the Walloon Federation of Agriculture (FWA) said in a press release on Friday evening.

Farmers will thus organize actions such as filter dams in various places in Walloon territory such as at the roundregarding in Wierde and on the N80 in Bouge in the province of Namur.

Blockades will also be established at the Villers-le-Bouillet roundregarding as well as at the cow roundregarding in Battice in the province of Liège or at the Étoile roundregarding in Libramont in the province of Luxembourg.

Similar actions will also be carried out at the Soignies roundregarding and at the Esplanade de l’Europe in Tournai in Hainaut as well as at the N25 roundregarding.said of sailing” in Corbais in Walloon Brabant.

Through these actions, the agricultural sector intends to denounce declining income, overly complex legislation and administrative overload. The discontent of farmers, starting from France, has spilled over into several European countries, including Belgium, especially on the Walloon side.
