FC Bayern: Karl-Heinz Rummenigge on Niklas Süle – “Useful player” – Bundesliga

Clear edge from Karl-Heinz Rummenigge (66).

The ex-CEO commented on Sky about Niklas Süle (26). The central defender is letting his contract expire in the summer, although Bayern would have liked to extend it.

That’s not a problem for the former Bayern boss. He sees Süle as replaceable.

“Basically, Niklas has good talents for his position – he’s tall, strong, fast, he could maybe improve his header game a bit. But he was always a useful player! The problem is: I think he never really asserted himself in his position,” said Rummenigge

The reason he gave was the cruciate ligament tear in Süles in October 2019. After that, the national player lost touch in Munich.

Rummenigge: “If you line up the team in the best-of, Niklas might not be there at the moment. That’s something he might want to think about.”

At Bayern, Süle doesn’t seem to cry after him. And Rummenigge is also sure about the reason for the departure. That would have nothing to do with a lack of appreciation – but rather with banknotes.

Rummenigge: “Appreciation is actually only calculated in euros. And in nothing else. You don’t have to believe that a player at FC Bayern isn’t valued or cuddled.”

Süle is always associated with a move to FC Barcelona. The cash-strapped Catalans seem to have found a source of cash this year and have already signed Ferran Torres (21) and Adama Traore (26).

Premier League clubs like Chelsea are also said to be interested. Apparently they lure with a big salary.
