Berlin From the FDP’s point of view, the European Union must overturn the principle of unanimity in foreign and security policy issues in order to be able to act on an equal footing with world powers like China. “If the European Union is to be able to make decisions and thus be able to act in foreign and security policy issues, then the unanimity principle must finally fall,” said FDP member of the Bundestag Johannes Vogel of the German Press Agency in Berlin.
