Finally, after a long wait, WhatsApp, which is owned by Facebook, officially announced the availability of the dark mode feature in its application.
Dark mode in WhatsApp will bear the name Dark in the selection interface, so that the main screen and settings menu become dark color, but in the case of the chat interface, only chat windows may be dark, while the background is white or reflects any other color that users set as wallpaper.
The new feature is currently only available for trial versions, and there is no information as to when the feature will be released via the stable official version.
Since March 2019, news broke out about the dark situation in WhatsApp, the company was satisfied with the tips only, while the same feature appeared in other applications owned by Facebook, such as Instagram and Messenger.
The demo version of the dark mode has a version number (184.108.40.206) on Google Play, and you can try this mode by going to the application settings, then clicking on chats, and selecting the Dark option.
If the dark mode does not appear after the update, the latest version of the application can be deleted and reinstalled.
