Tim Burton appeared at the Rome Film Festival on Saturday with his children, Billy and Nell.
After Quentin Tarantino a few days ago, it was Tim Burton’s turn to receive an award honoring his entire career at the 16th edition of the Rome Film Festival. On Saturday 23 October 2021, the 63-year-old British director appeared at the event, appearing on the red carpet with his son Billy (18) and daughter Nell (13). The family dog, Levi, was also there.
The two children were born from the filmmaker’s previous relationship with Helena Bonham Carter. The couple dated between 2001 and 2014. The 55-year-old actress, who has long been the muse of Tim Burton, has appeared in seven of his films, including “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”, “The Funeral Wedding” and again “Dark Shadows”.
According to “Daily MailTim Burton said he was very moved to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award. “Receiving this honor at the Rome Film Festival is very special to me. Fellini, Mario Bava, Dario Argento have all been great inspirations in my life and (…) to receive this award in Rome, a place that I love, a city where you feel like playing in your own movie, is very moving, ”he said.
