In 2021, Fitbit will add blood glucose tracking to the App and cooperate with LifeScan to provide users with the ability to automatically capture and track results.

LifeScan is a service provider that aims to help diabetic patients control their diseases and hardware. Its blood glucose meter helps diabetic patients to monitor their blood glucose status through data and can even synchronize with the App.

As announced at the beginning of 2021, LifeScan OneTouch Reveal App will be synchronized with Fitbit App, and the two companies have confirmed a partnership. Earlier, Fitbit and LifeScan jointly announced a “multi-year” partnership, hoping to help diabetic patients manage their health. It will be done through the Inspire 2 tracker and Fitbit Premium provided by LifeScan to help users manage activities, exercise, nutrition and stress.

According to a 9to5Google report, LifeScan’s OneTouch Reveal App is a powerful cloud combination of data, technology and insights provided by digital systems, which can promote diabetes management and integrate people and healthcare resources. Through this cooperation, people will use Fitbit Inspire 2 and use Fitbit Premium. Fitbit Premium has diversified functions. In addition to providing guidance, there are hundreds of training content, health reports, and other customized settings. These are all designed to help diabetic patients manage stress, sleep better, and eat better.

According to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 33-50% of diabetic patients will experience diabetic distress. Depressed mood may lead to unhealthy habits, stop checking blood sugar or skip the time for diagnosis.
