The cabinet of Governor Rodolfo Suarez (UCR) responded with a series of unprecedented measures: suspends the buses for more than four hours, closes the center and the main provincial park, provides police custody at the bus terminals to prevent kidnappings of units, taxis will not circulate and shops and supermarkets will be closed.

The restrictive measures start on Sunday from 11 a.m. with the closure of supermarkets and until the end of the festivities. From 1:00 p.m., buses will not leave the 21 terminals of the different public transport companies of Greater Mendoza. “We want to prevent the fans from hijacking the buses,” Mendoza Security Minister Raúl Levrino said at a press conference.
