The authorities of Miami Beachin Floridahave decreed this last Sunday state of emergency and imposed a curfew, after a couple of nights in a row of shootings were reported, which left two dead and the same number of wounded. With this provision, the authorities hope to guarantee the safety of this busy tourist area in the United States, controlling the movement of people.

The measure, which will be in effect from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. on Monday, March 20, is given in response to the multitude of visitors that the city has received regarding the start of spring break, also known as Spring Break.

The security measure comes after last Friday night, an exchange of shots was recorded, which left one person dead and another seriously injured. Likewise, early Sunday morning, only about four streets from where the first event was recorded, the scene was repeated again with the same number of victims.

Although in both cases the suspects in the shootings have already been arrested, the authorities have considered it necessary to establish a strong police contingent due to the peak of tourist presence in the neighborhood of South Beach.
