Al-Marsad Newspaper: The Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) has warned against using the herbal product “MOUNTALIN JAMU PEGAL LINU DAN ASAM URAT” because it contains the pharmaceutical “Paracetamol”, produced by AIR MADU MAGELANG – INDONESIA POM TR.
The authority indicated that it monitored a warning issued by one of the regulatory authorities indicating that the product contains active medicinal substances that are subject to registration, and not as it is promoted that the product has a natural, plant source.
And she pointed out that it tracked the electronic sales platforms, and analyzed samples of the aforementioned product, and the results of the examination proved that it contained the pharmaceutical substance “Paracetamol”, which may cause health risks to the consumer; Because the medicinal product is subject to medical supervision.
The Food and Drug Administration also advised consumers not to use the product, and to dispose of their samples, stressing the importance of purchasing products from reliable sources through which they can be traced.
It affirmed that it is taking the necessary measures in coordination with the competent authorities to follow up on the electronic marketing platforms, prevent the marketing of the product and its entry into the markets, and take the legal measures against violators.
