For 2022, in addition to ensuring the completion of the remaining four rounds of the top 12 matches, the Women’s Asian Cup, and the Hangzhou Asian Games, the Chinese Football Association will have to “save” the precarious professional league.
At present, most Chinese professional football clubs are facing an existential crisis. Today, the “share reform” that promotes the diversified reform of club equity has become a life-saving straw for China’s professional football. However, the current progress in the share reform in various regions is not ideal.
At the meeting, the Chinese Football Association promised to the representatives of the clubs that it will introduce unified guidance on the share reform in the near future, and at the same time revealed the idea of the professional league for the new season:
First, the clubs must further strictly implement the salary limit policy, and the annual investment of the first team is limited to 300 million yuan;
The second is to go all out to restore the home and away system, and it is up to each locality to decide whether to allow fans to enter the stadium;
The third is that all players have to re-sign work contracts with the new club after the completion of the share reform;
Fourth, in the future, professional clubs can qualify for admission as long as they have U17 and U19 echelons.
