Inter Milan missed the chance to take second place in Serie A from AC Milan by losing at home to Empoli (0-1), trapped in a second half disputed with ten after the exclusion of Milan Skriniar, Monday during the 19th day.
Young leader Tommaso Baldanzi (19) took advantage of the numerical superiority of the Tuscans with a dry shot from the left foot which went under the belly of André Onana (66th). Empoli (9th) took the opportunity to pass Juventus, 10th after his fifteen-point penalty imposed on Friday by sports justice in the case of overvalued capital gains.
13 points behind Napoli
Inter (3rd) sees for its part growing further behind the leader Naples, leader that the Nerazzurri are however the only ones to have beaten this season, at the beginning of January (1-0): the abyss is now 13 points mid-league.
The Nerazzurri got into trouble with the logical expulsion before the break of Milan Skriniar for two warnings, one for an obstruction (25th), the other for a foot too high (40th).

But the team trained for a week by Davide Ballardini to replace Massimiliano Alvini, sacked for lack of results, only led five minutes, the time for Vlad Chirches to score against his camp for the host team.
