A new page of history will be written on Saturday during the Vanderbilt vs. Missouri football game in the NCAA.
Sarah Fuller will become the first woman to play for a school in the Power 5, which brings together the top five American divisions.
A goaltender for the Vanderbilt University women’s soccer team, Fuller will play as a kicker.
Several Commodores players withdrew from Saturday’s game, including kickers Pierson Cooke and Wes Farley.
Vanderbilt head coach Derek Mason has reached out to his counterpart Darren Ambrose, who heads the women’s soccer team, to inquire about Fuller’s availability.
The latter has been training with the team since Tuesday.
