Zane Wedding is from Auckland, New Zealand. Last week he went for a swim in the local pool before falling asleep on the sofa that same evening. When he woke up he felt an itch in his ear. He thought he had water stuck in his ear and he didn’t care.
The next day, feeling discomfort, he went to a doctor who gave him an injection in his ear. He was also given antibiotics and advised to dry his ear well after showering.
“After that visit to the doctor, things got even worse,” he told the New Zealand Herald. He even became deaf on one side and couldn’t sleep.
This Monday, he was able to see an ear specialist. “She looked for a second and then said, ‘oh my God, I think there’s a bug in your ear.’ After a few minutes, she pulled a dead cockroach out of her ear! After this event, Zane regained the use of his ear again.
