Amr Fahmy, former head of administration (Secretary General) of the African Football Confederation (CAF), died at the age of 37. His father and grandfather had also been Secretary General of CAF. The Egyptian, who had been seriously ill for several months, was dismissed in April 2019 for “professional misconduct”. He had started running for the presidency of the institution.
