Ex-Canadiens defenseman Karl Alzner could be the Bruins’ sights.
According to two sources on the site bostonhockeynow.com, Alzner could be an option as an insurance policy in Boston.
The Massachusetts formation lost the services of Torey Krug, who is now a member of the Blues. She is also considering the fact that Zdeno Chara will not be back with the team next season.
Boston is therefore looking for depth in its blue line. Alzner could thus be a potential candidate for this club.
Remember that Karl Alzner’s contract was bought by the Canadians at the beginning of October. Two seasons were still to be elapsed from his five-year pact signed in July 2017.
Over the past two seasons, Alzner has played 13 games in the Habs uniform. He collected only one assist.
With the Laval Rocket, he earned 19 points, including 17 assists, in 87 games.
