The former head of Amazon in Mexico He is the intellectual author of the murder of his wife in 2019, according to confessions of a hit man to a judge.
The hit man who killed Abril Pérez Sagaón on November 25, 2019, International Day Against Gender Violence, assured that Juan Carlos García hired him along with other criminals to murder the woman.
This would have been revenge after Pérez Sagaón denounced García for wanting to kill her at home in front of her children.
Juan Carlos García would have offered 180,000 Mexican pesos, about US$9,000 to the assassins, but promised a “bonus” of US$2,500 if the murder was carried out before a hearing related to the complaint of family violence.
The assassins were effective, firing two bullets at the woman: one in the head and the other in the neck.
The man had already been in preventive detention for 10 months, but was released when the charges for family violence were reduced.

Juan Carlos García no longer worked at Amazon and was unaccounted for when he staged the murder of his ex-wife.
In 2014 he was chosen by Amazon to open the company’s first office in Mexicoleading the Mexican subsidiary until 2017.
