The Federal Chamber of Criminal Cassation left the former federal judge of Santa Fe Víctor Brusa convicted of crimes against humanity, on the verge of returning to the common prison by referring the file to the oral court of that province to resolve the claims against the prison domiciliary with which he was benefited in 2018.

A new ruling by Chamber II of the highest criminal court in the country came after, weeks ago, the Supreme Court annulled the provisions of that Chamber in December 2018, when judges Angela Ledesma and Guillermo Yacobucci – with Alejandro’s dissent Slokar- they gave the domiciliary to Brusa. Now the Federal Oral Court of Santa Fe must resolve. Brusa is the first former federal judge sentenced to effective jail for acts committed during the civic-military dictatorship, when he worked as an employee of former judge Fernando Mántaras, who years later he succeeded in the same position . Brusa received a 21-year prison sentence in 2009, but in 2014 and 2017 he added new sentences for more crimes committed during the dictatorship.
