Back in the ring. Miguel Trauco was able to make his debut with him Saint Etienne, after seven games this season in Ligue 1. The national defender was included in the list of summoned for the duel against Nice, where he managed to add minutes from the second half.

The left side of the Peruvian Selection was considered by the strategist Claude Puel, who made him enter the gramado from minute 46 ‘to reinforce the defense of’ Les Verts’, having the score against 2-1.

Despite the efforts and changes made by the French coach, the date culminated in a 3-1 defeat, as striker Myziane Maolida sealed the victory in Nice in the final minutes.

The ‘Genius’ was the surprise in the list of summoned for the seventh date of Ligue 1, after almost seven months of absence. And it is that, it was considered for the first time by the coach Claude Puel, after a long trip loaded with stopovers to finalize the return to France.

This week, the footballer defended Peru’s shirt against Brazil on the second day of the Qualifiers on the way to the Qatar 2022 World Cup. His performance would have caught the attention of the French coach, so he decided to include him for this commitment.

Up to this point, Trauco had not been considered by the coach Saint Etienne. In fact, in France they assured that the national defender did not enter into the DT’s plans. Even in the transfer market, the 28-year-old had options to join Olympiakos of Greek football.
