France-Sweden (4-2): the scores of the Blues

Arranged in 4-4-2, the Blues delivered a solid performance by winning 4-2 against Sweden, thanks in particular to a double from Giroud, a good performance from Thuram, the aggressiveness of Griezmann and the impact of Rabiot at the Midfielder.

Lloris: 5. Unhappy on the first Swedish goal where he was taken on the wrong foot by the deflected ball from Claesson (0-1, 5th). We then heard a lot of him direct his teammates in the silence of the camera. He did not have much else to do anyway until the second goal where he was abandoned by his defense (3-2, 88th).

Surname: 7. Rather discreet at the start of the match where his offensives were not sharp, he gave the advantage to the Blues of a magnificent recovery of cross volley which spins into the small opposite net (2-1.35th). Strong defensively even if it lacks impact on the second Swedish goal.

Early: 6. Slightly heckled in the air, he was not really scared. Unhappy on the opening of the Swedish score where he diverts the shot from Claesson (5th). Replaced by Zouma (46e, note : 5,5) who sometimes seemed messy without putting his team in danger.

Horn: 6. The Parisian delivered a solid performance where he redoubled his authority in the second half after the exit of Varane. A little short at the marking on Quaison (3-2, 88th). Hernandez : 5. He was content to defend with application, but his combinations with Thuram were inefficient. Replaced by Digne (46th, note: 6) solid defensively but which could have gone up more.

Rabiot: 7. On the left against Portugal, he returned to the heart of the game where he brought impact to the recovery. His strike from 30 m, slightly deflected, forces Olsen to slam the ball (38th). Replaced by Nzonzi (78th).

Pogba: 5. He seemed to physically pay for this third tenure in six days. His bad intervention in the middle of the box is at the origin of the Swedish goal (0-1, 5th). He generally lacked influence.

Sissoko : 3. Apart from two very good centers for Giroud (12th, 53rd), he pretty much missed everything. Especially on the second Swedish goal where Bengtsson spins behind his back (88th). Between bad inspirations and imprecise passes, he did not score many points for the Euro.

Thuram : 6,5. The neo-Blue still seems so little inhibited. He alternated between a real winger role where he found Giroud from a center back from school (1-1, 16th) and inside entries where he tried a lot to dribble. His strike countered by Lindelof after eliminating three Swedes is the origin of Pavard’s goal (35th). Replaced by Mbappé (58th) who deposits the ball on the head of Giroud (3-1, 59th). He then brought speed to the French game.

Griezmann : 6,5. The Swedes left him a lot of space which he did not always know how to take advantage of. Always interesting deviations and shifts, just like his usual generosity in the withdrawal. A nice end just above (75th).

Giroud: 7. He first adjusts a head on which Olsen easily folds (12th). Lonely in the area, he then took over from the left a cross from Thuram to equalize (1-1, 16th). He sends a recovery of … the shoulder flush with the post (53rd) before signing a double, to bring his total to 44 goals, with an unstoppable header from close range (3-1, 59th). Good defensive efforts. Replaced by Coman (84th) who scores unopposed from the midfielder at the last second.
