Franz Beckenbauer: “The people whistled and scolded – ‘He’s arrogant!'”

Franz Beckenbauer is a football legend and has led Germany to the football World Cup twice. Once as a player, once as a coach. Here the 75-year-old looks back on his unique career.

Franz Beckenbauer: I played like that when I was young. Because I had a special way of walking: I walked over my great uncle, turned inward. That benefited me. I was able to play with the outside more easily than others. That brought me a lot of criticism at the beginning.
