Freedom of opinion and expression is a democratic right that does not face oppression

In a statement, the Educational Office of the Nasserite Popular Organization denounced “the assault on the professors of the Lebanese University… denouncing the professors who are demanding their legitimate rights. What happened today is an unfortunate and condemnable scene, and it is the responsibility of those concerned in the state.” Freedom of opinion and expression is a legitimate democratic right that is not faced with oppression and humiliation, and the generations-makers of the national university professors cannot be rewarded in this ugly way, because their dignity is part of the dignity of the nation, and if it falls, is the dignity of any citizen preserved?
