“French Motorhome Chase Ends in Animal Welfare Violation: Latest News and Updates”

2023-05-25 13:32:00

A chase begins between a motor home and French police. The latter warn their Belgian colleagues, because the motorhome takes all the risks to cross the border. Inspectors from the Aubange post, flashing blue flashing lights and a screaming siren, try to stop the fugitives. In vain. The driver brakes dangerously several times, and takes the direction of the Joli-Bois site in Athus. He turns into the parking lot and drives towards the woods. It is then that the passenger opens the door and… throws a dog, an American staff, to block the road to the police.

The motorhome stops a little further. The driver and passenger fled into the woods. The first, intercepted by the police, will not go far, while the second was able to escape. After investigations, the passenger will be identified as the driver’s brother. We were then September 18, 2021.

The passenger, a Frenchman from Longwy, born in 1975, must answer in court for violations of the animal welfare code. A transaction of 300 € had been proposed to him, it was not paid. Which leads him to the correctional court of Neufchâteau. He did not appear at the hearing, and did not provide his defense.

He was fined €800 for throwing the staff out the door and banned from keeping animals for a period of one year.

Poor dog, he was never claimed, neither by the driver nor by the passenger. He was the subject of an administrative seizure.
