Fuel prices down 15% for this month of August in Guyana

The prefectural decree setting fuel prices for the month of August announces a 15% drop in the price list. Road diesel drops below the 2 euro mark.

2.03 euros instead of 2.10 euros for a liter of unleaded petrol, 1.98 euros instead of 2.07 euros for road diesel and 1.95 euros instead of 2.04 euros for diesel non-road. In other words, prices are down 15% and it’s rather good news while waiting for better.

The gas cylinder now costs 24.57 euros compared to 24.63 euros in July.
The discount of 15 euro cents is maintained until August 30. The state has paid 7.6 million euros since April for this consumer assistance system and a sum of 600,000 euros for transport assistance.

It now remains to officially know the new measures concerning the Overseas Territories on the upcoming drop in fuel prices.
