Calm has returned to the city of Sfax, in southern Tunisia, following three days of tension, following the killing of a person at the hands of a migrant from sub-Saharan Africa.
The BBC correspondent said that dozens of immigrants gathered in the city center, demanding that their exit be facilitated. Security forces intervened in a number of Sfax neighborhoods, following demonstrators attacked homes inhabited by immigrants.
An immigrant told the BBC, who preferred to remain anonymous, that he was evicted from the house he shared with five other people, adding that he was verbally assaulted and threatened.
