Gadeokdo New Airport Construction Promotion Team officially launched… New airport construction momentum

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced on the 28th that it will operate the ‘Gadeokdo New Airport Construction Promotion Team’ in earnest.

It is expected that the Gadeokdo New Airport construction project will gain more momentum according to the operation of the promotion team.

The Special Act for the Construction of Gadeokdo New Airport, which came into effect on the 17th of this month, and the enforcement decree of the same law contain information on the composition and operation of the new airport construction promotion team.

Accordingly, the ‘Gadeok New Airport Construction Promotion Team’ (TF), which was operated as a temporary organization, was reorganized into the ‘Gadeok Island New Airport Construction Promotion Team’ and officially launched.

The promotion team consists of a total of 17 people including the leader and members.

Lee Sang-il, the head of the Busan Regional Aviation Administration, was appointed as the head of the group.

The promotion team may be composed of civil servants of related administrative agencies including the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
