Galatasaray postpones the decision of Mustafa Muhammad’s position

Turkish media reports revealed the position of Galatasaray Club regarding the settlement of the position of Mustafa Muhammad, the team’s striker, during the coming period.

Mustafa Mohamed moved to Galatasaray in the winter of 2021 on loan from Zamalek, and recently the Turkish club activated the purchase clause in his contract for 3.5 million euros, to be paid on June 1.

However, the Turkish “ajansspor” website, quoting a source inside Galatasaray, said that the administration, which is expected to leave within days by holding elections, preferred to leave the settlement of Mustafa Muhammad’s file to the new administration that will be elected.

The source said in his statements: “We have until July 1 to pay Zamalek, we can pay if we want, but we wanted to leave this decision to the new administration, perhaps the new administration will not want to pay this amount.”

It is worth noting that the Turkish newspaper “sporx” said earlier that Galatasaray will hold elections to choose a new board of directors on June 11, and the new board is expected to inherit complex financial problems.

The newspaper pointed out that the new administration will be required to pay debts amounting to 20 million euros on the football team, as well as late salaries for the technical staff and players (which may reach the salaries of two consecutive months).

The installments of a number of deals that took place in the current season, including the purchase of Mustafa Mohamed, have also been postponed.

Yalla Kora reporter learned that Mustafa Muhammad, 24, is seeking to leave Galatasaray after the end of the current season, as he gave the green light to his agent to find him a new club in the summer Mercato.

Several reports have recently stated that the young Egyptian striker is wanted in several French clubs, led by Olympique Lyonnais, next to Italy’s Atalanta.

The Galatasaray administration is seeking an amount ranging between 7 and 8 million euros for the sale of Mustafa Muhammad.
