The head of the “Lebanese Forces” party, Samir Geagea, tweeted on his own account via “Twitter”, writing:
I extend my congratulations to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on his election as President of the United Arab Emirates, as well as from the Supreme Council of the Federation and the friendly Emirati people on the election of Sheikh Mohammed to succeed the late Sheikh Khalifa.
I wish Sheikh Muhammad all the success, and he who, through his practice, has set an example in leadership, planning, progress and advancement, and has always been a friend of Lebanon, closely following its affairs, supporting its causes, and standing by its side in the Arab and international groups.
