The Escalade procession celebrates its big comeback
In hibernation for two years because of the Covid, the Compagnie de 1602 is preparing to reinvest the streets of the Old Town for a long weekend.

The traditional parade of the Company of 1602 had been canceled in 2020 and 2021.

Take out your fifes, drums and halberds. After two years of absence, the beautiful Escalade is back! From Friday 9 December to Sunday 11, the Old Town will take a journey through time. In 1602 to be precise, when the Duke of Savoy was trying to invade Geneva. “What a pleasure to find the Old Town again! All our teams are eager to return to the streets,” rejoices Jean-Marc Barberis, president of Compagnie de 1602.
