Who says new version of Genshin Impact, says new banners. And we can say that these, apart from Yelan of course, are quite disappointing. We explain why, a few days before the update!
The new banners, as well as the update 2.7 presented by the developers not long ago, are about to arrive on Genshin Impact. So you can find Yelan, for whom you can already begin to collect the materials necessary for its evolution. But apart from the latter, who is present on these banners? We take stock, and… it’s not madness.

Character Banners
Here is what the two banners of this beginning of version 2.7 will consist of:
- Yelan is a 5-star Hydro-type character, which is limited! You will therefore have to recover it within 3 weeks before the end of its banner, otherwise you will have to wait for the latter to return. The character looks quite interesting, and could be an interesting alternative to Xingqiu. We will tell you more about it as soon as it is available!
- Xiao is a 5-star character who wields the polearm and represents the element Anemone. He’s not necessarily a very played character, but he can do enormous damage, provided you have a good team around him who helps him manage his burst phase well. A good character!
- Barbara is a healer Hydro 4 stars. She’s a character offered upon reaching adventure level 20 in the game, and…she can be useful at first, but is quickly replaced by…pretty much any character that can heal. Not a great choice, and his constellations aren’t exceptional.
- Yanfei is a character Pyro 4 stars. Rather likeable to play, she is not exceptional either, but is undoubtedly the most 4-star character interesting of this banner. Especially since you probably haven’t maxed his constellations yet, even if you’ve been playing from the start.
- Noelle is a character Geo 4 stars. She is correct, but needs to have all her constellations unlocked to really shine. But it has often come back as a banner, and with all the characters in the game, it is difficult to decide to prioritize it over other much more profitable 4 stars.
As you will have understood, this banner is not very good in terms of interesting 4-star characters to collect. Especially since Noëlle and Barbara have already been on many banners…
Banner of arms
On this banner, there will be the two signature weapons of the planned 5-star characters, namely:
- Mock water – DGT CRIT in main stats
- HP is increased by 16%. If enemies are nearby, the DMG inflicted by the character equipped with the weapon increases by 20%, whether deployed or not.
- Winged Jade Spear – CRIT rate in main stat
- Enemies hit grant 3.2% bonus ATK for 6s. This effect can be triggered once every 0.3s, and can stack up to 7 times, increasing DMG by 12%.
The Water Simulacrum looks perfect for Yelan, and will probably be his favorite weapon. On the side of the Winged Jade Spearit is a weapon that has proven itself and is excellent for Xiao. Of course, the system pity fact that you may not have the weapon you want… which makes the summons on this banner difficult to recommend.
