Pello Bilbao and Nibali move away from the leader after the Portuguese suffered the first great difficulties in the Giro
The British Tao Geoghegan Hart (Ineos) triumphed this Sunday in the fifteenth stage of the Giro d’Italia, on a 185-kilometer route between the Rivolto Air Base and Piancavallo, in which the Portuguese Joao Almeida, with a test of overcoming, clung to his pink jersey of leader.
Geoghegan Hart took advantage of the intense work of Australian Jai Hindley (Sunweb) in favor of his Dutch teammate Wilco Kelderman and finally entered the sprint first in four hours, 58 minutes and 52 seconds.
Almeida experienced the first great difficulties of his Giro, but managed to limit his delay and entered 38 seconds behind Kelderman, which allowed him to hold on to the pink jersey of leader of the general classification.
The Spanish Pello Bilbao (Bahrain McLaren), the Italian Vincenzo Nibali (Trek Segafredo) or the Polish Rafal Majka (Bora) paid the high end in Piancavallo and moved away from the leader.
