The former presidential candidate George Forsyth met this Thursday with Pedro Castillo from Peru Libre. After that, he indicated that he asked both him and Keiko Fujimori of Fuerza Popular to respect the decision of the National Elections Jury (ETC.), within the framework of the second round.
“What I have asked Castillo and Fujimori is that the decision made by the JNE be respected, that they have the courage to respect these decisions and in the end, surely, I am sure that the JNE will do its job accordingly, it will be the will of all Peruvians, “he told the press.
Forsyth added that citizens ask and want the electoral process to be transparent as it should be.
“I ask all Peruvians to be very calm. It is time for unity. We are one country, we are not two sides. To respect each other, to respect the decision made by the JNE,” he said.
