Georgia: Obama joins Senate runoff elections – politics

“You have to understand that this is not all about Georgia,” Obama said Friday in an online event organized by the state’s Democrats. “This is about America and this is about the world.” The runoff elections for the two Senate seats in Georgia are of paramount importance because they determine the majority in the powerful US Senate. In the two runoff elections on January 5, the two Republican incumbents, David Purdue and Kelly Loeffler, will run against the Democrats Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock.
