PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. (AP) — A US marshal was shot and wounded Sunday at a mobile home park in suburban Atlanta, authorities said.
The officer was taken to an Atlanta hospital, Fayette County police told local media.
The identity of the agent, nor what condition he is in, has not been released. The motive for the shooting or whether the officer fired his weapon was also not disclosed. It also has not been said if anyone else was injured.
The incident occurred at a mobile home park in Peachtree City, about 30 miles (48 kilometers) south of Atlanta.
The Marshals Service did not return a call Sunday asking for more details.
The Georgia Department of Investigation opened an investigation of the chaos.
