[Las Vegas 6th Archyde.com]-German luxury car maker BMW unveiled the world’s first “color-changing car” at the digital technology trade fair “CES” in Las Vegas, USA.

The concept car “iX Flow” uses the electronic ink technology normally used in e-book readers to change the color of the car body to various patterns of gray and white.

When an electric signal is sent using a mobile app, different pigments will appear on the surface, and the shade and pattern will change, and in the future it will be possible to operate with buttons in the car.

A BMW engineer said it could be used to change the color to white on hot days to reflect sunlight and black on cold days to absorb heat.

The concept car exhibited this time can only change color between gray and white, but it is said that it plans to expand to a wide range of colors in the future.
