Blessed Geza (BG): Thank you for having me. I’m driven by my commitment to our party’s founding principles and the vision of our liberation struggle. I believe President Mnangagwa’s actions are straying from that path, and it’s my duty as a senior party member to call that out.

The Power Struggle: A Threat to Zimbabwe’s Stability?

AN: Do you think the ongoing power struggle within ZANU-PF poses a risk to Zimbabwe’s stability and economic growth?

BG:Absolutely. The divisions within our party are deepening, and that’s causing anxiety among Zimbabweans. We must remember that political stability is key to attracting investment and reviving our economy. The current situation does not bode well for our people.

Constitutional Amendment: A Bridge Too Far?

AN: President Mnangagwa has been attempting to amend the constitution to allow him to run for a third term. What are your thoughts on this move?

BG: I, along with many Zimbabweans, oppose any attempt to thwart the will of the people as enshrined in our constitution. The move smacks of a power grab and undermines our democracy. We must respect the term limits set by our constitution and allow for a smooth transition of power.

The Role of War Veterans in this Crisis

AN: As a war veteran yourself, what do you think is the role of war veterans in resolving this crisis and guiding Zimbabwe’s future?

BG: War veterans played a crucial role in our country’s liberation, and we must remain steadfast in defending the principles we fought for. We have a duty to ensure our struggle’s rewards are felt by all Zimbabweans, not just a privileged few. We must use our collective voice to push for a better Zimbabwe founded on democracy,transparency,and accountability.

AN: You’ve hinted at imminent actions by your faction. What can Zimbabweans expect to see from you and your allies in the coming months?

BG: We will continue to advocate for change within ZANU-PF, and we call upon all progressive-minded Zimbabweans to unite behind our cause. We need to see concrete steps towards reconciliation, respect for our Constitution, and genuine reforms that prioritize the interests of our people. We are ready to engage in dialog and work together to build a better Zimbabwe.
