At the St. Gallen cantonal, the spectators can enjoy a real highlight even before they start swinging: Dani Bösch, who triumphed at the Unspunnen-Schwinget in Interlaken in 2011, is appearing in public for the first time since his serious illness.
The master butcher from Zuzwil was diagnosed with cancer last year and has had to endure countless therapies since then. Now the 34-year-old seems to have defeated his worst opponent.
Positive investigations
«The results of the last examination were positive. And although I still have to use crutches, I feel very tidy again now,” says Bösch.
He’s even ready to work in his butcher’s shop: “At the moment I’m mainly doing office work.”
