Ohio Congressman Reports Road rage incident, Alleged Threats
Washington D.C. – U.S. Representative Max Miller of Ohio reported a concerning incident Thursday, alleging he was the target of a road rage attack accompanied by verbal threats. The congressman detailed the event in a social media post, claiming a driver aggressively pursued his vehicle and displayed a Palestinian flag while shouting threats against him, Israel, and his family.
Details of the Incident
According to Miller’s account, the incident occurred while he was commuting to work. He stated that an individual driving another vehicle intentionally attempted to force his car off the road. After failing to gain his attention through the initial maneuver, the driver allegedly brandished a Palestinian flag and made threatening statements. While the precise nature of the threats – whether spoken or otherwise – remains unspecified, Miller characterized them as a direct threat to his life and the safety of his family.
Following the incident, Miller stated he filed reports wiht both local law enforcement in Rocky River, Ohio, and the U.S. Capitol Police. He emphasized his refusal to be intimidated by such actions, declaring, “I will not hide in the face of this blatant antisemitic violence.”
Law enforcement Response
The Rocky River Police Department confirmed receiving a report from Miller regarding a road rage incident. Officers took a written statement from the congressman later Thursday afternoon after he was unable to speak with them earlier in the day. The department has forwarded the case to the U.S. capitol Police for further investigation. Capitol Police have been contacted for comment but have not yet released a statement.
