Game news Gotham Knights: Mr. Freeze, Batman’s sworn enemy, is revealed in pictures

In Gotham Knights, players will have to unite to face many great villains, starting with Mr. Freeze who today revealed himself to the eyes of the world.
A strong opponent
After presenting 28 of 44 costumes available in the final version of the game, Gotham KnightsFollowing Batman Arkham Knight, shows up once again in the columns of IGN to tell us more about one of its flagship antagonists. We obviously named Mr. Freezea character who will have an important place in this new adventure.
In the streets of Gotham City, at the controls of Batgirl, or even Red Hood, Nightwing and Robin, it will be possible to meet a brand new gang, the Regulators. The Regulators is a faction that deals in organ trafficking and, to achieve its ends, steals ultra-advanced technological devices. If Mr. Freeze does not necessarily share the same ideologies as this group composed exclusively or almost of mercenaries, he still decides to join them to make some breaks.
Moreover, this is one of the questions of Warner Bros. Games Montreal, the studio behind the game: how do you get players to understand that Mr. Freeze is somehow tied to the Regulators when the two parties don’t always work together? The answer is simple, much like the Regulators, Mr. Freeze uses technological weapons.

Mr. Freeze, a creation in virtual reality
In addition to offering us some details on his equipment – we learn that this technology remains rooted in reality so as not to distort the universe of Batman –, in his interview, IGN also reveals that this supervillain was (in part) created in virtual reality, a surprising fact to say the least. The objective here was to be close to the character to perceive what the players can feel when they are next to the villain.
Finally, Jianli Wu, the character art director, also added that they have retained all the essence of the villain so that fans can recognize him at a glance.
The dome, the glasses, his face… Mr. Freeze’s story is emblematic. We don’t want to deviate from it, because everyone, when they see it, knows it’s Mr. Freeze. But we raised its technology level a bit. We want to bring our own flavor to its design. We want to be true to IP, but at the same time we want to bring something new.
