The Government announced changes in 38 communes throughout Chile within the framework of the Step by Step Plan.

As detailed by the Undersecretary of Public Health, Paula Daza, the zones that advance phase will do so this Tuesday, July 20, while the setbacks will be on Thursday 22 of the same month.

The Minister of Health, Enrique Paris, indicated that the amount of new COVID-19 cases fell 34% considering the last seven days and 44% if the recent 14 days are considered.

He also highlighted that all regions lowered their infections, while the positivity by PCR tests continues to decline, reaching 2.9% in all of Chile during the present day.

The deceased, meanwhile, also reported a decrease of 18% across the country, but Paris called for “Do not be triumphant and continue with health measures.”

Regarding mass vaccination, the authority pointed out that 13,001,707 (85.55%) of the target population have already received a dose, 11,693,055 (76.92%) have already completed their dose schedule.
