Government will require negative PCR test for international flights

The Minister of Transport, Ángela María Orozco announced this Thursday that In the next few hours the guidelines of the Ministry of Health about international flights, where it stands out that They will require negative PCR tests for Covid-19 to enter the country.

This requirement is only required at this time to travel to the island of San Andrés.

In addition, the minister pointed out that additional adjustments are being evaluated in relation to the lines and procedures in Migration Colombia.

Regarding destinations, Orozco specified that the possible countries have been classified in four categories: immediate connectivity, connectivity in the next month; subscribed to special conditions and those with restricted connectivity. Among the countries with the possibility of immediate connection are United States, Brazil, Mexico, United Kingdom, Australia, Ecuador, Dominican Republic and Turkey.

In the following category, the countries with the possibility of connection this month or in October, are Guatemala, El Salvador, Panama, Peru, Chile, Uruguay and Venezuela.

Spain, France, the Netherlands, Cuba and Germany are in the third group of countries whose air connectivity is linked to special conditions.

“We have been in talks with the civil aeronautical authorities of these countries, but we still have a job ahead”Acknowledged Ángela María Orozco, Minister of Transportation.
