JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – PDI-P Secretary General Hasto Kristianto said his party would accompany the Governor of South Sulawesi (Sulsel) Nurdin Abdullah | undergo the legal process at the Corruption Eradication Commission ( NCP).
Nurdin is a suspect in the alleged bribery case for the procurement of infrastructure projects in South Sulawesi.
“But in principle, seeing his leadership, the input given from the ranks of the PDI Perjuangan DPD South Sulawesi, so that the party can carry out advocacy,” said Hasto to journalists, Sunday (28/2/2021).
However, Hasto stated, PDI Perjuangan wait and appreciate the ongoing legal process.
“We are still waiting for further developments in this regard,” he continued.
Hasto said that currently the party is still in shock with the case that befell Nurdin.
Because, according to Hasto, Nurdin has had a good track record.
“Because he has a very good track record. Whether this is an x factor that we don’t know yet, we are still waiting for further explanation from the KPK,” said Hasto.
Meanwhile, the KPK named Nurdin and two other people as suspects in the bribery of infrastructure project procurement in South Sulawesi.
Two other suspects are the Secretary of the PUTR Province of Sulses, Edy Rahmat (ER) and the Director of PT Agung Perdana Balaumba, Agung Sucipto (NA).
In the hand-arrest operation (OTT), KPK chairman Firli Bahuri said that he secured a suitcase containing Rp. 2 billion which was suspected to be given to Nurdin by Agung.
