Gyeongnam FC took the dramatic first win of the season in the Nakdonggang Derby.
Gyeongnam won 3-2 in the second round of Busan I’Park and Hana OneQ K-League 2 2022 held at Miryang Sports Complex at 4 pm on the 27th. Gyeongnam reported their first win of the season by winning the Nakdonggang Derby.
Gyeongnam started with Willian, who returned from injury, and Hernandez, with Lee Ui-hyung, Seol Hyeon-jin, Lee Ji-seung, Lee Kwang-jin, Lee Min-ki, Lee Jae-myung, Kim Jong-pil, Lee Jun-jae, and Son Jeong-hyeon starting.
Gyeongnam took the lead in the game, but the defense was a bit shaky. They lost to Valentinos in the 7th minute and Jung-in Park in the 20th minute and were led 0-2. Nevertheless, Gyeongnam quickly pushed the game forward. In the 31st minute of the first half, Hernandez threatened Busan’s goal with a bold shot, but in the 42nd minute, Willian made an effective shot with a pass. Unfortunately, the shot was blocked by the goalkeeper.
Gyeongnam reversed the atmosphere in the early half of the second half. In the 6th minute of the second half, Mo Jae-hyeon actively participated in the competition and caused Valentinos’ red card. From then on, the atmosphere of Gyeongnam continued.
Gyeongnam scored an early goal, but the VAR reading was disappointing. In the 19th minute of the second half, Lee Kwang-jin showed concentration and Willian calmly pushed in in front of the goal, but the goal was canceled after VAR reading.
Gyeongnam did not stop despite the cancellation of the goal. In the 34th minute of the second half, Willian took a penalty kick. Willian’s penalty kick was blocked by the keeper, but Mo Jae-hyeon, who was focused until the end, pushed in the flowing goal.
Gyeongsangnam-do’s wave offensive continued, and eventually brought the match to the starting point. One minute of extra time in the second half, Willian finished the ball from the penalty box to the header by Park Jae-hwan. Gyeongnam did not intend to be satisfied with the draw.
After cutting a pass in the 4th minute of extra time in the second half, Willian pushed Hernandez, who scored a theater goal after Hernandez broke through Junsu Ahn. Gyeongnam took three points by flipping at the last minute.
With this victory, Gyeongnam widened the gap between their record of 22 wins, 7 draws and 14 losses against the ‘Nakdong River rival’ Busan. In addition, the good spirit of being strong in Miryang continued.
