ARIZONA – The Border Patrol released images of the moment in which a Guatemalan child is abandoned on the banks of the Colorado River after crossing the border.
Surveillance camera images show a person crossing from the Mexican side and leaving the minor.
The incident was reported Monday night by the Department of Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in the Yuma region.
CBP reported that fortunately the officers went to the rescue of the minor, thus avoiding a tragedy.
