The President Guillermo Lasso announced that through decrees, regulations and Popular Consultation, it will make its objective of promoting investment, generating employment and reactivating the economy viable.

After the refusal to approve the Law for the Attraction of Investments On the part of the National Assembly, Lasso indicated that different alternatives and paths are being analyzed to continue with effective management:

Using decrees, regulations and “one of them is the popular consultation, in which we are working and I am going to dedicate myself in a special way this week and submit to the consideration of the Ecuadorian people what the National Assembly has refused to deal with in the last 10 months (…). We are not going to stay with our arms crossed. We have the door open for those assembly members who want to contribute to the development of the country”.

“The government must find its own cause to find the well-being of Ecuadorians and not waste time sending more laws to the National Assembly (…). We will continue to work with great enthusiasm and dedication, gaining strength even in the face of adversity in an Assembly that has not really wanted to worry about the development of the country”.

ON COMPLAINT AGAINST ASSEMBLY MEMBERS

The President reiterated that this government is determined and determined to fight against corruption, whoever it comes from. Thus he indicated that: “We are ready to face that reality. I already took the first step. No one believed that it would determine the names of those people who ask for benefits and even financial compensation in exchange for supporting a bill.”

However, regarding his future treatment in the Legislature, he expressed: “I have very little hope in the National Assembly, Ecuador cares little for them and it is very easy for them to turn their backs on the country and simply not worry about those who are waiting for an opportunity. ”.
