The nine goals derby

Manchester City started the match with great enthusiasm, taking advantage of the ground workers and the public, and almost scored the first goal after only 3 minutes at the start of the whistle from a chance that saw 3 shots on the Red Devils goal, but the defense saved the situation each time.

The blue pressure resulted in an early goal in the eighth minute, as Bernardo Silva sent a cross from the left side, which Foden turned into the net directly.

Manchester City continued to pressure the visiting team’s defense, as the left post of David de Gea’s goal responded with a missile shot to captain Ilkay Gundogan in the 18th minute.

And two minutes did not pass before Foden threatened the Manchester United goal again, when he received a ball inside the penalty area, turned and shot a little over the crossbar.

In the 30th minute, Manchester City launched a dangerous attack on the Manchester United goal, as it witnessed more than one shot in the midst of the steadfastness of the red defense, while the visiting team’s players objected to the continuation of play despite the fall of Raphael Varane to the ground for injury.

Halland added the second goal for Manchester City in the 34th minute, as he rose high and converted a cross from a corner kick by Kevin De Bruyne, into the net.

Halland strengthened Manchester City’s lead with his second and third goal for his team after only 3 minutes, taking advantage of a cross from De Bruyne.

And 4 minutes before the end of the first half, the two coaches made two forced injury changes, involving Sergio Gomez at the expense of Walker, and Victor Lindelof instead of Varane.

Foden completed Manchester City’s review with the fourth goal in the 44th minute, after he took advantage of a cross from Halland.

The start of the second half did not differ from the start of the match, as Manchester City entered after the break with full force and threatened the visitors’ goal from the first minute, but De Gea saved his goal this time.

Anthony tried to save Manchester United’s face, scoring a superb goal in the 56th minute with a powerful shot from outside the penalty area, which hit the far right corner of Ederson’s net.

Ten Hag made two changes at once in the 59th minute in an attempt to salvage what could be saved, bringing in Anthony Martial and Casemiro in place of Marcus Rashford and McTominay.

Halland continued his brilliance and completed the “hat-trick” with a third and fifth goal for the team in the 65th minute, when he turned a cross from Gomez directly into the net, while De Gea could not stop it.

In turn, Foden scored a “hat-trick” by scoring his third and sixth goal for his team, after a wonderful through ball from Halland.

But Martial added his team’s second goal with a header from the six-yard area, reducing the difference 7 minutes before the end.

Martial refused to end the meeting until he scored his second and third personal goal for Manchester United from a penalty kick in the last minute of normal time.
