Haas F1 Team waits for update to VF-22 until July[F1-Gate .com]

The Haas F1 Team says the upgrade to the 2022 F1 machine VF-22 could be in July.

This year, all F1 teams are competing under a $ 140 million budget cap. This means that development costs need to be controlled more tightly than in previous seasons.

The Haas F1 Team has not introduced a major upgrade in the opening round of the 2022 season. Recently, team representative Guenther Steiner has claimed that he wants an upgrade to significantly improve his pace.

Barcelona, the opening round of the European round, has traditionally been the place where F1 teams bring their first major upgrades.

However, the Haas F1 Team will not arrive in Spain this weekend with new parts. Guenther Steiner says he has postponed several more events before the team builds and installs the upgrade.

“Spain is usually an obvious place to bring upgrades, and I think quite a few teams are planning upgrades,” Guenther Steiner said.

“I don’t know how much they make a difference and what they make for each car.”

“We decided to wait a little longer for the upgrade. Still, even if the truck doesn’t have the necessary upgrades, we still think the car will perform well, and it may or may not be achieved.”

“We have a good upgrade package for the next 4-5 races and we are confident about it. There are other upgrades as well. I don’t know at this time, but we’ll know more next Monday.”

The Haas F1 Team did not score points at the previous Miami Grand Prix, although Kevin Magnussen reached the top 10 in three of the four opening races.

Guenther Steiner helped the team make a stronger recovery in Barcelona this weekend, acknowledging the disappointing results in Miami.

“It was very disappointing in both qualifying and the race, but we need to remain positive,” said Guenther Steiner.

“The good thing is that the car is good. You just have to do the right setup to get the tires to work properly. The car is at that level.”

“As we saw during the race in Miami, we were up in position from the time the safety car came out until it fell back.”

“We have to focus on having a good machine and staying confident that we can write the points we want.”
