The hacker group gained access to NVIDIA’s internal data with a total volume of 1 TB. This was reported by the portal TechPowerUp.
The hack led to temporary problems with the company’s internal resources, such as email and developer tools. After a few days, all problems were fixed. According to representatives of NVIDIA, they are regularly exposed to various attacks and try their best to minimize the damage from them.
According to unconfirmed reports, the hack was arranged by the South American group LAPSU$ in order to extort money from NVIDIA. However, according to the source, the company’s cybersecurity specialists staged a retaliatory attack, which managed to encrypt the stolen data.
